This 1976 Omega Seamaster was exclusively designed for the Montreal olympic games and was Omega’s flagship chronograph at that time. The watch is noteworthy for its chrono-quartz movement, in which Omega was the first to ever do it. The analog display is for the time function and its digital display is for the chronograph function. Each working independently of another but running on the same quartz resonator. The nickname Albatross comes from the 1611 calibre, the shape of the battery clamping system resembling an albatrosses wing. This watch is serviced and ready to be worn at the pier, with its fellow albatrosses.
