We bring to you this rare Tudor Aqua. This one has a rich history as it holds the Solar Aqua brand name of the dial. “Aqua” was the brand name of Canada’s Eatons, which at one point was one of the biggest department stores in the country. It has a lovely dial with 12, 3, 6 and 9 applied.
This quasi explorer dial has a warm brown patina, complemented well by the Tudor rose and a red seconds hand which pops beautifully. The original hour and minute hand look similar to the iconic Rolex “Alpha” hands which solidifies the vintage look.
Its 34 millimeter case houses a Tudor signed manual wound ETA 21 jewel movement. The caseback and crown are signed by Rolex as was common practice back then, when the two companies didn't exist in complete isolation. The caseback engravings show a 1002 reference number and an approximate production in the third quarter of 1967. The case is worn without any damages and despite its years it is still strong. The smooth beel is also in good condition.
We believe this watch offers a great entry level point to the Tudor/Rolex family as it has the exquisite vintage look plus a rich history. The manual wound movement allows you to connect with the watch, making it your perfect daily companion.
